Creating Day Jobs - Flora Staff Holiday Craft Show

Flora Staff Holday Art and Craft Show

November 6, 2004 -- Flora staff and friends showcase their artistic talents and wares at the second annual Holiday Craft Show. Collages, small books and boxes are for sale by photographer Deb Hickey. Melissa Oothout is selling her dried flower wreaths and holiday arrangements as well as taking orders for more personalized pieces. Ruth Scotch believes in elevating everyday household items such as switchplates, trivets and remote holders into fine art. All of her handcrafted items are original collaged and decoupaged creations utilizing fine art reproductions. Medina Mahfuz is returning this year to sell not only her funkydesign greeting cards but to also showcase handknit scarves made by a newly formed business, Matching Purls, owned by her mom Janet and her Aunt Janice. Georgia Gershs contemporary costume jewelry is a favorite accessory for many on the flora staff. She will be on hand to help you choose the perfect gift. Our newest flora staff member, Jan Willett, will be making sock monkeys just for the fun of it. While you shop, listen to the sounds of Steve Gerritsen playing classical guitar. Get out of the cold and join us Sunday December 5th for a day of music, fun and holiday shopping. We look forward to seeing you.
